Couples Counseling

Couples often struggle with the question of when it’s necessary to seek outside help.

You are not alone in this struggle. I provide a safe, supportive space for couples and families to process their experiences and work toward meaningful change. I specialize in helping partners identify and achieve interpersonal goals by addressing patterns that contribute to distress, anxiety, and disconnection.

My work focuses on the here and now, while also exploring how past experiences may be shaping current dynamics. Together, we examine how each partner understands the relationship and identify behaviors that may no longer be serving it. A central goal of therapy is increasing emotional intelligence, which supports clearer communication—helping you express your needs while also hearing and understanding your partner’s.

The therapeutic process creates space to move through difficulties while also recognizing and building upon the strengths already present in your relationship.

I am a culturally competent therapist and work with clients from diverse racial, ethnic, religious, sexual orientation, and gender identity backgrounds. I am trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy and use a relational approach that emphasizes slowing down interactions, attending to unconscious communication, and deepening emotional awareness. My goal is to help partners hear and see one another in new ways.

I have particular expertise working with couples in which one or both partners struggle with substance use, and I am especially passionate about supporting couples who are in recovery.

I take great pride in the progress and success of my clients, and look forward to helping you. Get in touch to learn more.
